A man has been found dead in a block of public toilets in Southend.

Essex Police say officers were called shortly before 2.30pm this afternoon (Friday, April 12) following concerns over the welfare of a man in toilets on Pitmans Close. 

When they got there, they found the body of a man. 

The area around the toilet has been cordoned off while an investigation into who he is and how he died is being carried out.
