'Racist' Webcam Works Fine In Right Light

A video called "HP computers are racist" has been getting lots of clicks the past few days on YouTube.

It's the story of a black guy named Desi, a white woman named Wanda and the Hewlett-Packard webcam that they think doesn't work right when a black person is in the frame. We'll post their video below. It's done with a sense of humor -- and did spur H-P to say it will look into the issue.

But first, here's a freshly posted report from theGrio, "the first video-centric news community site devoted to providing African Americans with stories and perspectives that appeal to them but are underrepresented in existing national news outlets." As you'll see, the reporters there appear to have debunked the "racist" story line. Their research shows you just need to pay a little attention to the lighting:
