Norwich is celebrating with comedy, open air cinema, a giant street procession and free fireworks.

The Lord Mayor's Celebration is the city's biggest community event of the year and it's happening this weekend. 

Thursday 7 July highlight:
This year’s activities kick off with a comedy night at the Whiffler Theatre, Castle Gardens featuring top stand-up acts Mike Gunn, Ben Norris and Otiz Cannelloni. 

Friday 8 July highlight:
See the Disney classic The Jungle Book in the open air in the Big Screen from 6pm.

Saturday 9 July highlight:
Look out for the Heart Angels in The Lord Mayor’s Street Procession through the city centre leaving from Newmarket Road at 5pm. Then check back here during the evening to see our colourful picture gallery.

The Magic of Take That (tribute act) 8pm-10pm

Stay in the city for the free Fireworks, 10.30pm, Norwich Castle

Sunday 10 July highlight:
Look out for the Heart Angels at the Great Norwich Duck Race 1pm Riverside. More details here
