Gracepoint starred David Tennant, who appears in Broadchurch as well, playing the same character, Breaking Bad's Anna Gunn and Nick Nolte, and centered on a small town reeling from the shocking death and of a child and the subsequent murder investigation. 

While Gracepoint failed to earn a second season, Broadchurch is set to return for its sophomore outing when it returns to BBC America on Feb. 4. Tennant is set to reprise his role as Det. Hardy.

In a recent interview with Zap2it, executive producer Anya Epstein talked about the possibility of a second season, saying that the first season "was not meant to be self-contained and we have a lot of ideas and a lot of excitement about where it could go. It remains to be seen whether we'll get a chance to actually do that. It doesn't seem terribly likely at the moment."
